Tug Of War Video
The test track is 60 feet of warehouse conveyer rollers set up on a flat surface. These rollers use ball bearings in order to spin freely with almost no effort.

The test vehicle is backed up onto the track. Two wheels will be on the track to simulate the slipping surface. Two wheels will be on the dry ground to attempt to get traction. We used the driver’s side wheels for our test (note that using the passenger side wheels will not change the results of the test).

The vehicle with a Powertrax® Traction System is backed onto the track.

The two vehicles are strapped together to simulate a tug of war. Once the slack is removed from the strap, the judge provides a signal to the drivers of both vehicles to begin acceleration.
Traction Demonstration
The test tack is a section of warehouse conveyor rollers set up on a slight incline. These rollers use ball bearings in order to spin freely with almost no effort.

Second vehicle attempts to drive across the test area without towing the boat.
Same vehicle attempts to tow a boat across the test area with the boat.

Test Vehicles:
1. Ford F150, 4 Wheel Drive, Open Differential.
2. Dodge Turbo Diesel, 4 Wheel Drive with Factory Installed Limited Slip, Front and Rear.
3. 1970 Ford F100, 2 Wheel Drive with Powertrax
Powertrax provides more traction to a 2-Wheel Drive vehicle under unstable traction conditions than a 4-Wheel Drive and a Four Wheel Drive with Factory Installed Limited Slip, Front and Rear.
UTV Video
Powertrax has many applications in the Industrial and Recreational Vehicle (UTV) market. This short video demonstrates the tremendous traction advantage a vehicle has with Powertrax. You will see that without Powertrax, the power goes to the wheel that slips leaving the vehicle stranded. This is the case with all open differentials. When Powertrax is installed, the vehicle easily goes up and over the hill. Because Powertrax fits inside the existing carrier of the differential, installation is easy and operation is maintenance free. Powertrax can easily be retro fitted to existing differentials.
